I’ve been shopping at CT since the first store opened in Windsor, in the late 60s. I was a tool & die maker, mister fixit, and an avid outdoor survivalist, and camper. Pretty much every tool, camping supplies, lawn care equipment, or carpentry tools I’ve ever owned, I bought from Canadian Tire. I lost half my eyesight, hearing, and balance, when I was thrown from my horse, at 39 yrs old, and I can walk into ANY Canadian tire store, in Calgary, Edmonton, Dryden, or tiny Amherstburg, and get the same fine quality products at competitive pricing, from friendly, helpful staff, that know their way around the store. I’m 70, now, and I tinker with my motorized bike, and across the street is my Canadian Tire store. I love that place, they treat me right. Thanks for always being there. PS I’ll be passing down my tools to my son Derrick.

I purchased a item at the West store in London in clearance for $2.97 but they only had 1 package. Was informed that the South store had 3 so I went there, waited 10 minutes to get the associate to open the cabinet only to find that the item was 10.97 in clearance .asked several staff if they would honor a price match and was told every store has a seperate owner. I think that the South store owner should be held to the same standard as most stores and match the price. Needless to say I will never go to that store ever again and will post my experience wherever I can. Shameful!!
When I visited my favourite Canadian Tire store today (#493 Cochrane, Alberta). I needed some help finding an item. Lanette at the paint desk was at the ready. She led me to Isle 35 and promptly found what I was looking for. Lanette has been of great help on a other occasions as well. Please give her some well deserved recognition as well as Operator #81 (short mature woman whose name I forget but who is always friendly and helpful.)

Employees in-store are very helpful. Solving an issue over the phone or even talking with someone who actually cares about a concern is an entirely different story! After multiple attempts, each was met with an attempt to sell us something we did not want. Passing the buck, avoidance and lengthy delays were all tactics to discourage us from a resolution. Eventually we actually hung up on another attempt to push another unrelated sale of a product. We spent more than $600 today to take advantage of the 1 day June 6th promotion, which on our receipt was not provided. Even the cashier could not explain the reason for not receiving the bonus CT money as advertised. Very disappointing and a bad reflection on CT.
